Job Summary

Screen Canberra, the office of film tv and digital media for the Australian Capital Territory, is
looking for a new Senior Manager, Fund and Development to join our small but dynamic
team in our Watson office, Canberra. Along with delivering the $5million CBR Screen Fund
in partnership with the ACT Government, Screen Canberra is focused on growing the local
screen industry, increasing the profile of Canberra on screen and supporting sustainable
businesses.

Reporting to: CEO
Salary: To be negotiated

Skills:

  • Understanding of film and organisational financing
  • Screen development experience and interest
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Solid organisational and administration experience including reviewing budgets, contracts, preparing briefs and improving processes
  • State agency experience welcome but not essential
  • Personal attributes
  • Passion for the screen industry
  • Ability to work in small team
  • Reliable, ethical and professional
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Collaborator and team player
  • Organised and efficient

Duties:
Included but not limited to:

  • CBR Screen Fund – manage and implement the application, assessment, contracting, funding, publicity and monitoring processes.
  • Financial – organisational overview and reporting
  • Stakeholder management – market, contractors, fund clients, talent, government, investors
  • Report and grant writing – help to identify other sources of income for the organisation’s programs and operations
  • Developing local talent and projects through programming and consultation
  • Working with team to develop new systems and workflows to increase efficiency
