Code of Conduct

Screen Canberra aim to serve all patrons and constituents equally and with respect and courtesy. We aim to hold our workshops and seminars in a safe, respectful environment of collaborative learning without undue disruption, coarse language, or threatening behaviour.

Screen Canberra expects their staff, presenters and all other participants to be treated in a reasonable and respectful manner. Screen Canberra reserves the right to remove or refuse entry to anyone who behaves in a way contrary to these aims and expected standard of behaviour.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel:
  • Two full weeks prior to the commencement of an event, you will be refunded the full amount paid.
  • Within two full weeks prior to the event, you will be refunded 70% of the full amount paid.
  • After the event commences, unfortunately we cannot offer a refund except in exceptional circumstances.

Screen Canberra web servers gather your IP address to assist with the of problems or support issues with our services. Again, information is gathered in aggregate only and cannot be traced to an individual user.

Screen Canberra Members and Non-Members

Screen Canberra collects information on any user who becomes a member or a free user to the website.   We collect personal information from you when you set up your profile.  This is for communications purposes only and this information is not passed onto any individual or organisation, without your permission.

ACTISA and Screen Canberra distributes regular newsletters outlining current events and opportunities.  You can opt out of receiving newsletters in your personal profile.

  1. The competition is open to residents of the ACT REGIONS aged 16 years or over except employees of The ACT Screen Industry Association and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
  1. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  1. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

13. Winners will be chosen by Screen Canberra Staff

14. The winner will be notified by email and/or DM on Twitter/Facebook and/or letter within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

15. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered.

16. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

17. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

18. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australia law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

19. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Australian data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
