Season two of The Code given ACT Government funding

Filming of a second season of ABC TV’s hit thriller The Code will begin in Canberra this year, along with a new adaption of Helen Garner’s award-winning Australian book Joe Cinque’s Consolation.
A hit with viewers in 2014, The Code’s first six-episode season received $200,000 in funding from Screen ACT’s Screen Investment Fund.

The ABC TV and Playmaker Media co-production has been given new funding as part of a special agreement with the government, Screen ACT director Monica Penders said on Monday.
Ms Penders said the productions had been given “significant funding” by the territory government.

The Code’s second season will reportedly see brothers Ned and Jessy Banks facing extradition to the United States over top secret national security breaches.
