'Rip Tide' - Event Cinemas Whitford’s Technology Makes Movie Going An ‘Extraordinary’ Experience

THE new technology at Event Cinemas Whitford will “bring an extraordinary leap forward in the cinema experience”, according to assistant manager Luke McLennan.

After months of anticipation, the cinema opens its doors tomorrow as part of the $80 million entertainment and dining precinct redevelopment at Whitford City.

General manager George Mooney said staff were “excited to finally reveal the incredible” facility.

“The new location will be extremely convenient for all movie-lovers north of Perth and the dining precinct will ensure that Whitford City is a premiere entertainment destination,” he said.

“Our passionate team is looking forward to welcoming our new customers and giving them a truly memorable movie experience.”

The first movies to screen will be Kingsman: The Golden Circle, American Assassin, It, Victoria and Abdul and family-friendly Captain Underpants, The Emoji Movie, Lego Ninjago and Rip Tide to kickstart the school holidays.

The new complex features two Gold Class, two Vmax and four traditional theatres.

“Our luxurious Gold Class cinemas and giant Vmax cinemas all with Dolby Atmos will wow our customers and be a spectacular venue for corporate events and private functions,” Mr McLennan said.

While the Gold Class cinemas can seat 40 to 48 and the traditional ones have seats for 156 or 298, the Vmax theatres can seat 408 to 435 making them Perth’s largest.

To celebrate the opening, the cinema is offering $13 tickets to Cinebuzz Rewards Club members until December 13.
